We officially opened as a branch practice of Cedar Grove in 2006.

Since then we have continued to provide an excellent veterinary service to our long standing clients as well as welcoming new clients over the last 4 years. Like Cedar Grove we are also recognised as a “Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Accredited Practice” – this prestigious accolade is awarded to only a small number of practices which achieve the high standards set by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and pass a rigorous inspection.

Should you require a consultation late morning or early afternoon, then we can arrange for this at the main practice in Cedar Grove. Outside our opening hours a 24 hr emergency service is provided by Vets Now at Belmount Road, Belfast BT4.

Facilities and Services

We are always expanding and improving the range of services we provide our clients. The following are some of the services we provide.

1         Modern fully equipped operating theatre.

2         On site laboratory for analysis of blood, faeces, urine sample and skin cytology.

3         Fully stocked pharmacy with full range of modern therapeutic drugs along with preventive health care products to include vaccines, wormers and flea and tick treatments.

4         Prescription dog and cat food.

5         Cat grooming facilities.

6         Well-stocked pet shop to include toys, grooming equipment, collars, leads.

7         At the main practice, Cedar Grove Veterinary Clinic, only a few miles away, your pet has access to an extensive range of facilities including digital x-ray, ultrasound, fluoroscopy and inpatient intensive care. Ormeau clients can also avail of consultations with clinicians who have special interest and additional training in areas such as dermatology, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, diagnostic imaging and internal medicine.

Healthcare 

The health and well being of your pets is our main concern and we firmly believe that prevention is better than cure.  We offer a full range of preventative health care products, which we can provide as part of a cost-effective annual package.  These products range from vaccinations, top quality prescription diets, worming products and parasite treatment.  We also offer a 10% discount to Old Age Pensioners.

Throughout all areas of the practice, our constant endeavour is to provide you and your pets with the best possible care in a kind and understanding manner.  We all have pets too, so caring for your pet is more than just our job.
