RCVS Accreditation for Cedar
Grove

At Cedar Grove we are very proud of our status as a Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons
Accredited Practice. We have been an accredited practice now for several years and, although a lot of hard work
goes into the process, we feel it is well worth the effort.
The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) Practice Standards Scheme is a voluntary
initiative to accredit veterinary practices in the UK. Through setting standards and carrying out regular
inspections, the scheme aims to promote and maintain the highest standards of veterinary care.
The accreditation process offers peace of mind to our clients. It allows the wider animal owning
public to make a more informed choice. Above all, it proves our commitment to providing and maintaining the highest
standards of care.
To become accredited the practice volunteers for a rigorous inspection every four years. We have
to meet a range of standards including hygiene, 24hour emergency cover, staff training, certain types of equipment
and hospitalisation facilities. We may also be subject to spot checks between these inspections.
The RCVS Accredited Practice logo indicates that the practice has passed an independent
inspection. This means high standards of care for you and your pets. To find out more about this scheme follow the
links through to the RCVS website.
